Dustin is an experienced engineer with technical, project management, and business experience. Originally from Tennessee, Dustin started his career as a consulting engineer for the Tennessee Valley Authority. There he found a passion for power engineering . From Chattanooga, Dustin relocated to Baltimore, MD for his wife to get an advanced degree at Johns Hopkins University. There he got an engineering position with Baltimore Gas and Electric. He was selected for the engineer rotation program where he gained a broad knowledge of the utilities industry. Dustin was consistently promoted on the merits of his work as a environmental compliance engineer, project manager, and performance improvement consultant. While at BGE, he also earned his Master's in Business Administration and positioned his career on a management path. Dustin and his wife left Baltimore in the fall of 2014 for his wife to take a professorship at the University of California at San Diego. He decided that he would take this opportunity to develop some of the softer skills need for his management goals, and co-founded a biotech startup with his wife from technology she helped to develop while at Johns Hopkins University. Dustin was the business development lead and worked to attract interests from government agencies and molecular diagnostic partners. This short development position strengthened his networking, presentation, and communication skill set.
With the startup company moving forward with research and development through the partnerships Dustin helped to create, he is now looking for a new position with a company that utilizes his proven technical and business expertise.
